Romain Lacombe is the head of innovation on the French Prime Minister’s Open Government task force Etalab. He was the author of a seminal report on the potential of Open Data for France in 2011.
Romain was a co-founder of Clixtr, a location-based mobile startup launched in ‘08, backed by DFJ in ‘09 and acquired by RadiumOne in ‘11. His prior work experience was with McKinsey & Co, the World Bank and Palantir Technologies.
He holds a Master of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Engineering Systems (Technology & Policy Program, ‘08), and a Diplôme d’Ingénieur from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris (Applied maths, Physics and Economics, ‘06).
