Rohit Agarwal is growing Khitchdee to be a distinctly Indian high-tech company following processes that are in conformance with local customs and practices and building products targeting local users.
This task requires on the one hand a deep understanding of the Indian way of life and cultural practices such as music and on the other an in depth knowledge of technology. Rohit spent 10 years in the US, attending graduate school in Electrical and Computer Engineering and working at Intel Corporation’s Architecture Lab. Since then he’s spent the last 14 years in India, mostly in Allahabad, absorbing the changing socio-cultural context and modifying the techniques he learnt in the US to be suitable for the Indian context.
