Rohan Pinto brings significant experience in emerging technologies and security infrastructures from his ongoing work with Sun Microsystems. He has been proactively involved in designing and establishing the Security Access Layer using Common Access Cards (CAC) for the United States Department of Defense. Rohan was the lead architect and deployed the security infrastructure for the Government of Ontario, and the Health Information Access Layer (HIAL) for the Province of British Columbia. Rohan works primarily in the security space in financial, education, telecommunications, automotive, healthcare, technology and government verticals.
Rohan an active angel investor in many Web 2.0 startup ventures, and has also been involved in the promotion and enabling of Web 2.0 startups in Canada. He is currently working on a Service Oriented Architecture for the banking industry that will allow for inter-bank transactional processing using technologies like Identity Federation, while retaining independent data governance rules to independent entities. Rohanâ€™s areas of focus for Bastionhost include logical security at the transactional, data and access tiers.
