Rod Boothby is the VP of Platform Evangelism at Joyent. Rod’s goal is to help customers find the right Joyent product to fit their needs. Rod’s background consists of 11 years in derivatives finance at Wells Fargo Bank and hedge fund consulting Ernst & Young. At Wells, Rod was a derivatives trader and then ran the development of 2 real-time derivatives trading systems. At Ernst & Young, his clients included BofA, Wachovia, Russell, SAC Capital, and Country Wide. He first learned about Joyent when he decided to go beyond C++ and learn a little Ruby.
