Pimentel has a long history as a financial advisor within the technology industry, serving in the CFO role at LSI Logic, WebTV Neworks (acquired by Microsoft), Zone Labs (acquired by Checkpoint) and Glu Mobile (NASDQ:GLUU) before joining as the COO and CFO at McAfee, Inc. in May 2008. At McAfee, Pimentel is responsible for leading all worldwide finance, IT, facilities and manufacturing operations.
Prior to joining the Board of Directors for Imperva, Inc., Pimentel served on the Board of Directors for Crossworlds Software (acquired by IBM), Traiana Corporation (acquired by ICAP), Livingston Communications (acquired by Lucent), SoftCom Microsystems (acquired by Intel) and Danger Research (acquired by Microsoft), and currently serves on the Board of Directors and is the Chairman of the Audit Committee for Seagate Technology. In addition, Pimentel is currently on the Board of Advisors for the Center of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University. He holds a BS in Commerce from Santa Clara University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status) in the state of California.
