Robert is the Executive Vice President of Business Operations & Strategic Partnerships at Gaikai (formerly SVP of Interactive Entertainment) where he is in charge of business and corporate development, strategy as well as other operational activities. He brings over 15 years of broad experience to company. Prior to joining Gaikai, Robert was the Vice President of Online Development at Namco Bandai Games, where he was in charge of western-facing online planning, R&D and content creation to enable a future of diverse activities including connected console, e-tail, eCRM and visionary new growth opportunities in IPTV and set-top devices.
Before his work at Namco Bandai, Robert was the Vice President of Business Development & Worldwide Publishing for Atari, where he oversaw the fostering and development of business relationships and global publishing activities, including work on hugely successful franchises like Ghostbusters, Dragonball Z and Neverwinter Nights. Prior to Atari, Robert served as the Vice President of Product Development & Acquisitions for DreamCatcher Games (acquired by JoWooD AG) and was responsible for the development of many of the company’s successful properties and business transactions. In his early career, Robert held key roles in several game development and publishing companies, including Interactive Magic and iROCK Games under Virtus Entertainment. At Interactive Magic, Robert’s work through the company’s development, acquisitions and partnerships supported numerous CD-ROM game titles as well as help form one of the first modern online gaming networks. Collectively Robert’s product and platform efforts have earned prominent awards and turned over $2BN in revenue.
Robert holds a Bachelors in Design from North Carolina State University and has completed advanced studies in Computer Science. His MBA is from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University, with studies at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
