Robert Sanders, our CTO, was most recently Chief Architect of EarthLink, where he was the technical lead for development initiatives such as the EarthLink Everywhere wireless data services, the ScamBlocker anti-phishing tool, and a highly scalable, multi-protocol real-time messaging and presence platform.
Prior to EarthLink, Sanders was CTO of Cbeyond Communications, an Atlanta-based CLEC (competitive local exchange carrier) serving the small business market.
Prior to joining Cbeyond, In 1994, Sanders joined the nascent Internet service provider MindSpring as its second employee. While there, he served as lead engineer and then CTO, growing the company’s infrastructure from two desktop computers and eight modems to a nationwide network and suite of data services supporting millions of users.
