In 2008, Robert joined Amazon.com (with over $19.billion in revenue) as a Senior Recruiter in a new specialised headhunting team. From 2005 to 2008, Robert was a Research manager at Derwent Executive, a boutique executive search firm based in Sydney Australia. He was responsible for full-cycle executive search execution of a variety of C-level assignments for – telecommunications, information tech, financial services, fast moving consumer goods, and business services clients. While managing relationships with his clients, Robert developed recruiting strategies that optimized candidate pipeline based on market conditions, client criteria and compensation/geographical constraints – for the most part hands on research and managing two reports on retained search assignments with focused candidate profiling.

Robert has developed his abilities during 10 years with three boutique size recruiting companies with technology focus. Prior to this he was an officer in the British Police force where he developed sharp investigative skills and specialised training including, advanced interviewing, continuous assessment, evaluation, psychological techniques, advanced conversation management, cross cultural communication and de-brief skills.
