Robert May

Robert is the Chief Financial Officer for Founders Fund in San Francisco, CA.

Prior to joining Founders Fund, Robert spent four years as the Chief Financial Officer at Thomas Weisel Venture Partners, an early-stage technology venture investment firm. Prior to joining TWVP, Robert was the Controller at Mohr, Davidow Ventures, an early-stage venture firm with $1.2 billion under management. He was responsible for fund financing, reporting, portfolio and Limited Partner management. Prior to Mohr Davidow, Robert was a Financial Analyst for Hewlett-Packard in the Integrated Circuit Business Division, specializing in the Semiconductor industry. While at HP, he helped structure an LOA between three major chip manufacturers to research Fe-RAM development and manufacturing. Prior to HP, Robert spent seven years in operations as a Production Control Analyst for former optical data storage manufacturer Drexler Technologies.

Robert graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Jose State University with a BS in Business Administration, emphasis in Finance. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Private Equity CFO Association (PECFOA), an agency comprised of senior executive finance professionals.
