Rob joined Thomas Weisel Venture Partners (TWVP) shortly after its inception in 2001 and is currently responsible for managing the fund. He is passionate about working with innovative entrepreneurs and has over 13 years of experience advising and investing in high growth technology companies. Rob led the fund’s investments in BigFix (acquired by IBM), Telesym and Vocera. He also played a key role in TWVP’s investments in Application Security, Arbor Networks (acquired by Danaher), AutoCell, Control4, Pivia (acquired by Swan Labs/F5 Networks) and Medsphere. Rob currently sits on the boards of Application Security and Control4. Prior to TWVP, Rob was a member of the Technology Investment Banking Group at Thomas Weisel Partners in San Francisco, where he helped emerging growth companies complete Private Placement, IPO and M&A transactions. He started his investment banking career at NationsBanc Montgomery Securities.
