Rishi joined Saavn in 2009 to help fuel Saavnâ€™s growth and oversee programming, distribution, and strategic entertainment deals for the company. Since joining, he has expanded Saavnâ€™s footprint to major cable networks, which will bring Bollywood films into 60 million homes in the US. In addition, he leads operations, setting the standards for content delivery and ensures that it gets delivered to Saavnâ€™s vast partner network on time and on budget. Rishi also leads the companyâ€™s strategic marketing and oversees communications.
Before joining Saavn, Rishi was vice president of multi-platform program marketing at HBO where he developed multi-platform strategies and VOD programming for shows like Big Love, The Wire, Def Comedy Jam and many of the sports franchises. He was also responsible for overseeing product management and marketing for HBO On Demand, Cinemax On Demand and iTV initiatives. During his four years, HBOâ€™s on-demand grew more than tenfold. Prior to his years at HBO, Rishi held positions with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Elias Arts, and Proxicom.
