Richard J. Hagen has served as President and COO of TradeKing since 2005. In this role, Rich plays a key role managing the firm’s business strategy, technology, marketing, customer service, and Social Media directives. Rich is an online brokerage veteran with experience dating back to the 1990s. Prior to co-founding TradeKing, Rich led H&R Block’s online brokerage strategy and the integration of the company’s online channel with its traditional branch office-based business model. Prior to H&R Block, Rich served as vice president at Foliofn and was in charge of its retail brokerage division. Rich also served as president of SureTrade, where he was responsible for the firm’s operations and strategy. During that time, he lent his expertise to numerous committees and action groups within Fleet Financial, SureTrade’s parent company, in developing Fleet’s overall Internet strategy.
