Ric Shreves is a web applications consultant and author. He’s been building CMS websites since 1999 and is currently a partner at water&stone, a web design agency focused on open source content management systems.
For a number of years, he worked as a freelance journalist, writing primarily about tech issues. He produced a weekly column and blog for the Bangkok Post for several years and wrote the “Back Page” column for ComputerWorld in 2006-2007.
Ric has written a number of tech books. “The Mambo Visual Blueprint” was published by Wiley & Sons in 2006. In 2007, he wrote “Drupal 5 Themes” for Packt Publishing. In September of 2008 he published the follow-up: “Drupal 6 Themes.” In early 2009 he wrote “The Ubuntu Desktop Visual Blueprint” for Wiley. January of 2010 saw the release of “The Joomla! Bible” by Wiley & Sons. He is currently working on his second book in the Bible series, “The Drupal 7 Bible.” Expect a new Drupal Themes title later in 2010.
Ric speaks frequently at various trade and technology shows, including LinuxWorld, InternetWorld, Linux Business Conference and the Travel Distribution Summit.
