Red Maxwell, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, is a proven design and branding professional with 20 years experience in the marketing field. Prior to working with SilkRoad Equity, Maxwell started the in-house advertising design and photography departments at Polo Ralph Lauren in New York. He then served as a principal and creative head of Design Factory International, a packaging design and marketing boutique with offices in the US and Switzerland. A three time winner of the London International Advertising Awards, he has developed branding and design work for LEE Jeans, Danone Foods, Foster’s Brewing Company and Planters/ Lifesavers. Red Maxwell has been recognized as a pioneer of internet marketing. Working with Seth Godin, he helped to develop some of the web’s first direct marketing and sweepstakes promotions. Online sites to his credit include work for Hanes, Champion, Duke Energy, Sara Lee Foods, Accenture, Netscape and Yahoo. Maxwell is a co-author of the Amazon and Wall St. Journal Business bestseller, The Big Moo. He has lectured at Wake Forest University’s School of Business and has spoken at various trade associations including the TED conference.
