Mr. Tonsing is a Real Estate & Technology Investor.
Mr. Tonsing, a graduate of the University of Colorado, is a career entrepreneur and participates in a variety of markets and business roles around the world. Mr. Tonsing is experienced in markets from energy to technology, and roles ranging from investor to business manager. His career began in the energy sector with projects that included the development and management of EnergyCentral and Rigzone. The two companies, Mr. Tonsing is still involved with Rigzone, are both market leaders, that provide information on the energy industry. Mr. Tonsing has been involved in large oil and gas ventures in both Russia and Qatar, that complemented his expertise in the energy sector. Following his work in the energy sector he co-founded the WorldGroup Advisory, a leading strategic marketing and public relations firm, where he managed sales and business development. Mr. Tonsing sits on the advisory board of Mindgruve, a leading San Diego based digital marketing agency and Sunfood.com/Superfoods.com which is a global provider of raw foods, superfoods and cutting edge nutrition information.
Most recently he worked in the commercial and residential real estate industry, both as an investor and developer of several large properties in a variety of markets. Mr. Tonsing is experienced in all aspects of commercial real estate including: site selection, planning and zoning, construction, equity placement, equity investment, debt financing, marketing and leasing, and building management. In addition to his skills as a principal investor and developer, he has arranged transactions for third parties and other strategic partnerships. Mr. Tonsing has been involved in transactions exceeding $100 Million of investment. Currently, Mr. Tonsing is working with a number of investors who wish to acquire distressed commercial properties and commercial mortgages.
Today, Mr. Tonsing is actively deal making in commercial real estate and angel investing in the technology sector - a business for which he has great enthusiasm. Mr. Tonsing strives to employ, in both his personal and professional life, a vision that is balanced for all parties and considerate of all factors, not least of which is the environment.
