Ray Mathieu is the Chief Financial Officer of Providence Equity.
Prior to the founding of Providence in 1989, Mr. Mathieu served as CFO for Narragansett Capital, which he joined in 1987. Previously, Mr. Mathieu had been a Senior Vice President of Old Stone Bank in Providence and Controller of Old Stone Corp. Mr. Mathieu was with Fleet Financial Group for 14 years prior to joining Old Stone Corp. At Fleet, he served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Fleet’s mortgage banking subsidiary, Fleet Real Estate Funding Corp., based in South Carolina. He also served as Vice President and Controller of Fleet National Bank in Providence, Controller of Fleet Mortgage Corp. in Wisconsin and Controller of Fleet Real Estate in Providence.
Mr. Mathieu holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Rhode Island.
