Puneet Mehta is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MyCityWay, the mobile technology partner for some of the world’s biggest brands. The MyCityWay Platform is used to create highly engaging, personalized mobile experiences that bridge users’ online and offline worlds, marrying their physical situation (including location, real-time intent and timing) with their digital intelligence (profile and social behavior). At the company’s core is the industry’s most sophisticated mobile marketing toolset that combines marketing automation and predictive analytics to drive unprecedented brand engagement, retention and mobile monetization.
Mehta spent much of his career building situationally-aware, self-learning technology that ran businesses or helped people make real-time decisions to run their businesses – in everything from trading platforms to supply chains. For many years, he worked on Wall Street building sophisticated technological platforms to power large-scale trading systems and help high-frequency trading desks identify actionable signals and predict future market trends.
Most recently, as SVP for technology strategy and architecture for Citi Capital Markets, Mehta pioneered significant firsts in cloud-based CRM and wealth management systems. Earlier, he led the introduction of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and complex event correlation for equity trading as VP of technology for capital markets at Merrill Lynch. For the first time on Wall Street, Mehta introduced SOA within the asset and wealth management division of JP Morgan while serving as the VP of technology in 2004. At Johnson Controls Inc., he led the architecture of a real-time integration hub that connected over 72 legacy systems with SAP. Before that, he pioneered efforts around rules-based intelligent systems to support new products at IBM TJ Watson Center.
Business Insider magazine named Puneet to “The Silicon Alley 100: New York’s Coolest Tech People In 2010” and “35 Up-And-Coming Entrepreneurs You Need To Meet.” He was also featured in The Wall Street Journal’s 2013 startup documentary series.
Puneet actively comments on the topics of mobile monetization / advertising, personalization technology, mobile marketing, mobile engagement, marketing automation, predictive analytics and intelligent cloud-connected big data systems.
In his spare time, he rides and works on his vintage motorcycle, mixes music, studies minimalist industrial design, and volunteers for two non-profits. He lives in New York City.
