With over 17 years of experience in developing large distributed systems, Praveen has been involved in the conceptualization, design, and architecture of several cutting-edge software products.
Praveen founded Impetus, in India, in the year 1991, and Impetus Technologies Inc., in U.S.A., in the year 1996. Having started Impetus as a products company, he has been the driving force behind the company’s focus on product design and development, providing vision and direction to the company through its evolution and growth.
Praveen has a keen sense of business, and an in-depth understanding of technology. His ability to comprehend future market trends and emerging technology subjects complements his philosophy of delivering high value and exceeding client expectations.
He was one of the first employees of Scientific Computing Associates’ Linda parallel processing product group, and has implemented the Linda kernel on several parallel architectures. While working with 3M Corporation, he designed and developed a distributed version of the Sage field service scheduler for 24x7 business critical operations. He has also co-founded a service supply chain optimization software company- Servigistics, in Atlanta.
Praveen was awarded a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Michigan State University and holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from S.G.S.I.T.S., India.
