Pogos is a Vice President at Atomico. He joined the firm in September 2010, having previously worked at Silver Lake Partners where he focused on the Internet space and played an active role in the buyout of Skype. His responsibilities included sourcing, evaluating, due diligence and execution of investment opportunities. Prior to Silver Lake, Pogos worked in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, where he advised on mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions.
At Goldman Sachs, he worked on a number of buy-side transactions including advisory to Evraz on the acquisition of IPSCO Tubes ($4 billion), advisory to TPG on the buyout of a Russian oil field services Company ($1 billion), and also an IPO of Power/Utilities Investment fund on LSE (AuM $4.5 billion). Pogos graduated from the London School of Economics with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Management Science and speaks fluent Russian and Armenian.
