Phil Shpilberg is a game industry executive with nearly a decade of experience launching successful products on consoles, PCs, mobile devices and social networks. He has deep insights into the gaming industry, having lead marketing research for a major video game publisher.
Phil is currently the Vice President of Marketing at Fingerprint Digital, a mobile educational gaming startup, and is primarily responsible for customer acquisition. He led the launch of Fingerprint’s first 4 games in December 2011, vaulting all 4 to apps to the top 10 educational games list in the Apple App Store within the first two weeks.
Prior to Fingerprint, Phil led marketing for mobile and social gaming, as well as marketing research, at 2K, a division of Take-Two Interactive. While at 2K Phil led chart topping launches Civilization Revolution, Carnival Games, 2K Sports NHL 2K12, Sid Meier’s Pirates in the Apple App store as well as leading Civilization World’s Facebook launch.
Phil’s first foray into the video game industry was launching Ubisoft’s highly successful King Kong on consoles, followed by working with top movie studios to launch games based on other hit movies including Open Season, Surf’s Up, Rocky Balboa, Beowulf and Star Wars Lethal Alliance.
