I moved here 18 years ago from England after back packing around the world. I settled in Atlanta, GA with the backpack and $267 in cash.
I create and run early stage technology companies, normally focused on fixing problems for small business owners.
My current start-up is an online publishing tool called FlashIssue.com; we help thousands of businesses and orgainzations effortlessly find fresh content and create newsletters in minutes. It’s been described as “an insanely cool marketing tool” for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Previously, I had good success with a start-up called Netzip.com (acquired by RealNewtorks); hatched another called Vocalocity that’s still doing well (#1 internet phone companies for small biz); and I’ve been involved in a number of other interesting projects – education (OpenStudy) & non-profit for inner city kids (Soccer In The Streets).
I also launched a start-up accelerator for disadvantaged entrepreneurs called Foundermachine.org.
Specialties: Being curious; starting companies that fix things for entrepreneurs like myself.
