Peter joined Crescendo Ventures in 2004 after working for five years as an independent chairman and Board member of several startup companies including two Crescendo portfolio companies.
Prior to that, Peter served as President of Quantum Corporation’s DSS Group, a data storage solutions business created from several acquisitions and listed separately on the NYSE in mid-1999. He earlier held the positions of Executive Vice-President of Xerox Corporation, running all of the company’s digital businesses; president of NeXT Computer; and Chief Executive Officer of Mercury Communications, a UK-based telecommunications service provider.
Peter began his career with 16 years at Texas Instruments, most of which time was spent in marketing and general management in TI’s microprocessor and computer businesses.
British by birth and now a U.S. citizen, Peter received a diploma in electrical engineering from Bristol Polytechnic and an honorary Doctorate in Technology from the same institution. Peter is based in Crescendo’s Palo Alto office, but also spends time in San Diego, where he covers Southern California-based opportunities.
In addition to serving as a Director at Verimatrix, Peter also serves on the Boards of TQAD Incorporated (Nasdaq: QADI) and ARC International (LSE: ARK).
