Peter Rojas is the CEO and co-founder of RCRD LBL, an ad-supported free music download site. Additionally he’s working on a consumer electronics focused startup with Ryan Block.
Prior to RCRD LBL, Rojas was and the founder and editorial director of Engadget, a daily blog covering gadgets and personal technology with a monthly readership of over 9 million. He was also the co-founder of Joystiq, Gizmodo, and Hackaday, and served as an on-air contributor to HGTV’s I Want That – Tech Toys and as a guest host on G4’s Attack of the Show.
Previously Rojas worked as a contributing editor at Cargo, an editor-at-large at Sync, a columnist on emerging technology for British newspaper The Guardian, a features and news writer for the original Red Herring, and was a contributor to Wired, The New York Times, The Village Voice, Salon, Slate, Vice, Surface, Food & Wine, Popular Science, Fortune, Money, and Business 2.0. He was educated at Harvard University and the University of Sussex (U.K.) and currently lives and works in New York City.
