Peter Choi is a Hong Kong internet entrepreneur and an experienced project manager. He is currently the owner of three startups: Meepoll (twitter: @meepoll) Snapshock (@snapshock) and Hiwave Dry Seafood (@hiwavesg).
Meepoll (www.meepoll.com) is a real-time discussion forum, one of a few that allows users to post anonymously. Similar to 4chan.org but Meepoll is much easier to use. The site is already available in English and Chinese and is mobile friendly. More than 1,000 daily users are attained and growing since launched.
Snapshock (www.snapshock.com) allows users to transform 2D photos directly to naked-eye 3D photos, producing 3D slideshows on the web with custom theme and music. Snapshock attained 1,000 customers within 3 months from soft launch, estimate over 100,000 users within the first year.
Hiwave Dry Seafood (hiwave.starrygift.com) is an online retail store of Chinese dry seafood. It meshes up traditional Chinese rituals with web technology, rendering successes in both sales and exposure. The business was recently featured in Google internet market report (www.connectedharbour.hk) and reported in Wall Street Journal Asia.
Being active in professional network, Peter has been serving as committee member for six years in British Computer Society (HK Section), aka. BCS(HKS), vice chairman in 2008-2009. In the capacity he substantially advocated young professional development through programme like mentorship and ambassador schemes.
Peter obtained his bachelor degree of Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong, and master degree of E-Commerce from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Along his career Peter never stop studying as he went on to obtain PMP, CISA, CISSP and other credentials
