As the Vice President of Technology, Peter Bi is charged with the design and management of Surf Air’s sophisticated flight scheduling and booking services, as well as its web interface. Peter brings a diversity of internet architecture skills, having constructed high-speed websites for a variety of Fortune 500 companies.
While working as the Lead of the Ad Engine Team for the Rubicon Project in Los Angeles, he developed one of the fastest and most efficient ad servers in the industry. He was also one of the first software ninjas for MySpace, and previously Director of Technology for Rare Medium Group, NYC and Greetingland, LLC, LA.
In his free time, Peter runs numerical simulations to study galaxy formations in the early universe. Peter received a PhD, magna cum laude, in Astrophysics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and a B.S. in Astronomy from the University of Nanjing.
