Paulo Lemgruber
Paulo is a digital media executive with over 15 years of domestic and international experience. He enjoys building and growing digital businesses.
Paulo is a news junkie with international background, roots in South America and Europe. He is a partner in a vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina, where he grows Malbec (trying to raise more capital to build a winery).
He loves all things interactive and media. Seasoned business development and sales executive. Paulo understands enough of technology and finance to have a productive conversation with engineers and bankers. Experience in developing content properties and leveraging most platforms (broadcast, print, cable, online, mobile and gaming).
Paulo also has experience in managing P/Ls and large teams across different organizational structures. Proven success in managing and closing a large number of joint ventures, acquisitions, investments, sales and marketing deals.
Until recently, Paulo was running the operations of Fearnet, an on-demand movie network jointly owned by Comcast, Sony Pictures and Lionsgate. Prior to Comcast, Paulo managed the online ad sales efforts of Reed Business and the company’s Variety Online Group. Before joining Reed in 2004, he ran the international business development efforts of AOL, responsible for driving revenue for AOL’s services in Europe, Asia and Latin America. From 1995 through 1999, Paulo was a VP of Corporate Development at Sony Pictures, where he was responsible for the launch of international cable channels and the $700M acquisition of Telemundo.
Paulo is a graduate of Harvard Business School and fluent in five languages. He has been a Consultant for Time, Inc., Nielsen, Conde Nast and the Quadrangle Group.
