Paul is Partner with the internet incubator i5invest and Venture Partner with the Austrian Venture Capital Investor Gamma Capital Partners (GCP) and has over 9 years of experience in structuring, negotiating and leading Venture Capital transactions.
From 2005 to 2011 he worked with GCP as Principal and Investment Manager and was responsible for successful funding and exit of several companies such as Fatfoogoo (acquired by NASDAQ listed Digital River in 2010) and 123people (exited to French Pages Jaunes).
In 2010 Paul took the chairman of the board position at the world’s leading augmented reality provider Wikitude (AUT) and became board member at the Swiss mobile start-up 42matters (social app discovery) in 2011, both companies GCP investments.
In 2012 Paul joined KochAbo (innovative food service in AUT, CH and D) as Co-founder and actively supports the company as board member.
Paul’s investments received numerous awards. The exit of 123people won the Austrian Private Equity & Venture Capital Award 2010. The investment into Wikitude was awarded second place in 2011.
Paul also served as member of the Selection Committee of the European Tech Tour 2011 and is an active lecturer and coach at the Vienna University of Economics and Administration, the Technical University of Vienna or at the government funded incubator INITS.
