Paul Waller has been a member of the Management Committee since 1999 and has responsibility for overseeing the performance of the various Funds managed by 3i, leading 3i’s fundraising activities and managing these investor relationships. He chairs the 3i Group plc Investment Committee and has approaching 30 years of private equity investment having joined 3i in 1978. He has developed 3i’s activities in fund management since 1993 having previously held various senior management responsibilities for the 3i Group investment businesses in Continental Europe, the United States and Japan. He is a former Chairman of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and he also chaired the EVCA Investor Relations Committee for several years.
