Paul Tarjan is a generalist web hacker currently working at Facebook.
He has two B.Sc. degrees from the Universtiy of Calgary in Honours Pure Math and Honours Computer Science. Then a Masters degree from Stanford working with Dr. Nick McKeown in the High Performance Networking group.
He joined Yahoo! directly out of his masters, and co-founded the SearchMonkey team with Amit Kumar. He served as the tech lead and gave the SuperStar award acceptance speech. He did many internal projects, but SearchMonkey was his most public facing one.
In 2010 he joined Facebook.
He can often be found unicycling and juggling around the bay area.
