Paul Lathrop

Paul Lathrop is a Sr. Linux Systems Administrator at Yammer. Previously, he led the operations team at SimpleGeo, where he was responsible for building the operations environment from the ground up. Before SimpleGeo, he was a Sr. Systems Engineer at Digg, where he drove their configuration management and automation efforts. Paul is an advocate of deep integration and collaboration between development and operations, as well as being a strong believer in transparent practices and the open-source community. He has contributed to the configuration management framework Puppet, the inventory management library Clusto, and continues to work to expand the open-source toolbox for solving operational problems. Before joining Digg, Paul worked for Kapor Enterprises providing operations support to several non-profit organizations, and as a Systems Administrator at SquareTrade.
