Patrick Ritto

Patrick Ritto is chief technology officer and vice president of engineering at Nirvanix. Ritto joined Nirvanix from Internap Network Services, where he served as vice president of Content Distribution Network and Advertising Engineering and Quality Assurance programs. There he led development of high-quality, rich media delivery via the Internet, including live and on-demand, mobile-enabled streaming audio and video.

He came to Internap after the acquisition of VitalStream Inc. where he was CTO, leading product engineering, network operations, data center operations, IT and customer support.

Prior to VitalStream, Ritto was the director of software engineering at Overland Storage Inc., leading all software and firmware development for the company’s disk- and tape-based backup appliances. Before Overland, Ritto served 15 years at Oracle Corporation including several senior engineering management roles such as co-founding the Automatic Storage Management team and as director of engineering for the Interactive Television Division.
