Patrick joined NEA in 2006 as General Partner focusing on a broad range of information technology investments with particular emphasis on enterprise software, Software-as-a-Service, and Internet companies.
Pat sits on the boards of BuzzFeed, ChannelAdvisor, Millennial Media, Spring Wireless and Videology.
Prior to joining NEA, Patrick was General Partner of Grotech Capital Group where he specialized in high-tech investments and served on a number of boards including Advertising.com, CDnow, Fieldglass Software, Hillcrest Labs, SALIX Technologies, and Synchrologic.
Prior to Grotech, Patrick spent nearly 10 years at Alex. Brown & Sons as an investment banker for high technology companies. At Alex. Brown & Sons, he was responsible for a range of financing and advisory projects including initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions for high-tech companies.
Prior to that, Patrick was a consultant with McKinsey & Co. Patrick served as an officer in the U.S. Navy where he spent substantially all his tenure on the staff of Admiral H.G. Rickover at the Headquarters of the Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program.
He received a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science from Villanova University.
