A native of Silicon Valley, Patrick started his career as a corporate attorney in 1997 at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. At WSGR, Patrick counseled companies (including many start-ups) regarding general corporate matters, strategic planning, financings, M&A, intellectual property and licensing matters. Between two stints at WSGR (1997-2000 and 2005-2008), Patrick worked in Seoul, Korea at Kim & Chang, Korea’s pre-eminent law firm, where he advised Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Kim & Chang, Patrick was Director of Business Development at Dialpad Communications (acquired by Yahoo), where he negotiated and closed both of Dialpad’s Series A and Series B Preferred Stock financings, which raised $66 million. While at Dialpad, he was responsible for technology licensing and distribution of Dialpad’s products with telecommunications companies, PC OEMs and websites. Patrick holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Patrick is based in Menlo Park, California.
