Patricia Mitchell has served as Executive Vice Chair of The Paley Center for Media, a global non-profit cultural institution, since 2006.
Before that, Mitchell was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Broadcasting Service, a non-profit public broadcasting television service, from 2000 to 2006. Mitchell also served as President of
Turner Original Productions and CNN Productions and for more than two decades, Mitchell was a journalist and producer, serving as reporter, anchor, talk show host and executive for three broadcast networks and several cable channels.
Mitchell previously served on the board of directors of Sun Microsystems, Inc. from 2005 to 2010, of Bank of America Corporation from 2001 to 2009 and Knight- Ridder from 2000 to 2004.
Mitchell brings to the Board extensive experience, expertise and background in media, telecommunications and broadcasting gained from her current service as the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Paley Center for Media, as well as her former role as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Broadcasting Service. In addition, Mitchell brings public company board experience gained from her service on the boards of Sun Microsystems, Inc., Bank of America Corporation and Knight-Ridder.
