Pamela Mahoney is co-founder of BlueChair Group, Inc., and applies more than 20 years experience in marketing, corporate communications and media relations to her work with clients including RainDance Technologies and Almaz Capital. Previously, she served for 12 years as a vice president and partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV).
Pamela worked closely with MDV’s early stage companies in the technology, healthcare and cleantech sectors, and helped the management teams develop effective communication plans and positioning. She collaborated with startups including Adamas, Audience Science, Genomatica, Gordon Murray Design, Medio, nLight, Pacific Biosciences, Proofpoint, Rocket Fuel, Wordnik/Reverb and ZeaChem establishing an extensive network of industry, university, media and entrepreneur relationships.
In 2005 Pamela was named communications lead and a member of the history-making Stanford Racing Team responsible for developing the fully autonomous vehicle known as Stanley, which won the DARPA Grand Challenge that year. Later she worked with the team on its second autonomous vehicle, Junior, in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge.
Pamela is accustomed to working on multidisciplinary teams and has worked alongside scientists and engineers behind the Java computing language, early personal digital devices and online identity management solutions. Pamela’s experience spans a number of leading technology, auto and industrial companies including Sun Microsystems, Novell, Chrysler Corporation, General Motors, and the Dow Chemical Company. She was a member of Chrysler’s award-winning team integral to a corporate repositioning and the launch of a record number of products.
Pamela holds a BA in English and Communication from the University of Michigan and an MA in Organizational Communication and Public Relations from Wayne State University.
