Ozi Amanat is the chief investment officer and helps run a billion dollar family office in New York City. He was previously a Portfolio Manager and Director at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc., a leading asset management and financial advisory service firm. He helped build a technology company that was named one of the “Top 100 Companies in the United States†by the Red Herring magazine. The company was acquired for $280 million.
Ozi has applied his knowledge of investing to improve and enrich communities throughout the world. He is a Board Member of Seeds of Peace, Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Medicine, the non-profit conflict transformation organization Abraham’s Vision (recipient of a $100,000 commitment from the Clinton Global Initiative) and a Member of the Synergos Global Philanthropist Circle, which is a non-profit organization founded by David Rockefeller’s daughter that addresses global poverty and social injustice.
In 2010 he received the Seeds of Peace’s Young Peacemaker Awards for the outstanding philanthropic work helping to empower young people with the leadership skills necessary for peace-building.
Ozi is a graduate of Harvard University, where he studied Economics.
