Mr. Nagao is President & CEO of MVC Corporation. He joined Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in 1982, and started his career in its Legal Department. He worked in Mitsui’s Tokyo and New York offices as inhouse counsel, and after contributing to the success of a number of investment and M&A projects in Japan, China and the Americas, he transferred to the Corporate Development Division, where his responsibilities included Mitsui’s private equity and principal investment initiatives. Mr. Nagao initiated and implemented Mitsui’s equity participation in Quintiles Transnational Japan, a leading outsourcing company for the pharmaceutical industry, and since the closing in 2004, had been seconded to Quintiles Transnational Japan as SVP, Corporate Development, until he assumed the role of President & CEO of MVC Corporation.
