Oliver finished his school at the Germany School in Bruxelles, Belgium before moving to Aachen, Germany to study Physics at the RWTH Aachen.
There he got his first computer in 1995 connected to a 10mbit bi-directional laser connected to university backbone on the roof of his student home. 6 months later he was administrator of the old Sun Sparc, handling Mail, DNS, Homepages and more.
He then co-founded STATSnet sprl as an internet statistics company. Later the company expanded into the SEO space and also gave Oliver first introduction to SEM via GoTo. A few years later he was writing on sites like BeNews and infoSync World about BeOS and the mobile space in general, also blogging from his personal site since 2001.
In 2003 he started working at OnVista Media GmbH where he set up the technology behind what today is the Ligatus GmbH as it’s second employee. In 2005 he finished he MBA at the Open Univeristy Business School, quit his job, co-founded Ormigo GmbH together with Henning Lange, and married his current wife, with whom he has two kids.
2008 he co-founded Adcloud GmbH as a sister company to Ormigo GmbH. Ormigo GmbH was sold in 2010 to one of the biggest yellow pages companies in Germany. Adcloud GmbH, where he is currently still working as CTO, was sold in 2011 to Deutsche Post DHL.
