Nobuya is an Experience Designer and a Mobile Platform Strategist with over 17+ years of extensive experience for designing the user experience of the interactive media.
Based in Tokyo, currently he is a Vice President of User Experience & Japanese Operations at Seesmic, a San Francisco based social media management company, and a founder of the Secret lab, an user experience and design consultancy.
Before joining Seesmic, he was a Producer at Creative Strategy Office of Sony Creative Center, engaged and led the New Mobile User Experience platform strategy and Slate User Experience Design Initiative for the networked products and services. He was a core member of Sonyâ€™s Android initiatives since the beginning. Prior to Sony, he was the head of Information Architecture and led User Experience team at several global interactive agencies like Razorfsh, Sapient, and iXL.
He is an active speaker and author on Information Architecture and User Experience in Japan, specialized in Experience Design, Design Strategy, Enterprise IA, Global Web Strategy, and Android UI framework.
Nobuya holds a B.Des. in Product Design from Kobe Design University.
