Nikolai is a serial entrepreneur who advanced from holding numerous development and project management positions at several small software companies to founding his own software development company Impulse Systems Inc. Soon after, he co-founded SIMMS/Diamedx Inc. (mysimms.com), where he currently serves as a part-time CTO. In this position, he orchestrates the design and development of highly complex Web-based enterprise software for medical imaging centres. Nikolai received his Bachelor of Business Administration from York University in Toronto, Canada. He is an active participant in Toronto’s rich technology community and sits on advisory boards of several emerging companies. He is a spirited evangelist of entrepreneurship and is currently mentoring his friends on their startups. Nikolai believes that giving back is vital in making our world a better place. To put his beliefs into action, he is helping the Heart Institute of Caribbean (caribbeanheart.com) to be able to deliver world class healthcare in the Third World environment, as well as is he is trying to power the Internet with green electricity through his environmental non-profit – Greenscroll.org. His latest brainchild - HealthKiwi.ca - helps Canadians find quality doctors and clinics by providing an extensive online healthcare directory.
