Nikhil Shah is co-founder of Mixcloud, an online radio startup based in London. Cambridge University Mathematics graduate and former Brand Consultant, he has always had a passion for building brands and communities, starting from his first clubnights as a teenager.
Over the years he has applied these interests to numerous event brands - from Cambridge University Students’ Union to boutique festivals and clubnights. As a brand consultant he has worked with brands such as Sky, Sony, Unilever and Sony Ericsson on insight, positioning, portfolio management and brand strategy.
At Mixcloud Nikhil heads up business development - overseeing content strategy, audience development, media partnerships, marketing/PR, music licensing and commercial strategy. He was a finalist in the British Council UK Young Music Entrepreneur 2010 award.
Nikhil also runs an electronic music focused record label and clubnight called ManMakeMusic, DJs under the guise Sketchy and programmes stages at UK festivals Secret Garden Party and Glade. He is proud to have played at some of the best clubs in the world alongside some of his musical heroes.
Finally Nikhil recently joined the Board of the Hackney Empire
