Nikhil Meswani is a member of the board of directors of Reliance Industries Limited and holds the position of an Executive Director on the Board of the company. His father, Shri Rasiklal Meswani is one of the Founder Directors of the company.
Nikhil Meswani joined Reliance at an early age in the year 1986 and climbed up the professional ladder in a very short lapse of time. He was designated as the Executive Director on July 1st, 1988, two years after joining the company. He plays a major role in RIL’s Petrochemicals Division and has contributed largely to Reliance to become a global leader in Petrochemicals. He is a Director of Reliance Commercial Dealers Limited and the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Reliance Commercial Dealers Limited. He is also a member of the Finance Committee and the Shareholders/Investors Grievance Committee of the company. Nikhil Meswani was the youngest Chairman of Asian Chemical Fibre Industries Federation and the President of Association of Synthetic Fibre Industry. The World Economic Forum bestowed upon him the title ‘Young Global Leader’ in 2005, for actively participating in the activities of the Forum. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He has been honored by the Institute of Economic Studies, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Textile Association (India) and Ministry of Textiles. He is a distinguished Alumnus of the University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT), Mumbai.
