Nicolas Maquaire is the CEO of content connection specialist EntropySoft.
Nicolas Maquaire has over ten years of experience developing and marketing software solutions.
Nicolas spent the last five years building EntropySoftâ€™s product offering and international presence, taking the companyâ€™s revenue to a few million euros while keeping full control of the companyâ€™s capital. Still privately financed, EntropySoft has been profitable since its creation.
The company collected awards for Best French Start-Up, European ICT Prize and best Marketing Strategy. Its product range now includes over 35 connector and two disruptive innovations: a Content Hub for centralized content access and a Content ETL for on-premise and in-the-cloud content transfers.
After being awarded with honours his diploma in Systems Automation by ESIEE (Ecole SupÃ©rieure d’IngÃ©nieurs en Electrotechnique et Electronique), Nicolas started his professional career with complex technical projects, such as applied fuzzy logic for artificial respiratory apparatus. He then worked for Symex, a petro-chemical specialist, where he was Head Engineer in charge of oil storage automation.
Nicolas then moved on to work for Independent Software Vendor PCDOCS, where he started out as PreSales Technical Manager. He was soon promoted to Technical Manager for EMEA, with customers such as BNP or EADS.
Following Hummingbirdâ€™s acquisition of PCDOCS, he moved to the Sales Department and was Head of the â€œSWATâ€ Team for portals, knowledge management and content management systems. As such, he supervised a team of technology specialists and software developers. He was in charge of Major Corporate Accounts such as Axa or BNP.
Nicolas Maquaire then decided to create his own start-up with Raphael Jean in 2004, putting to effective use his transversal knowledge of content management systems, complex sales processes and team leadership.
