Nicolas is an investment manager at Amadeus Capital Partners, a UK based Venture Capital firm and a co-founder of Comuto (www.covoiturage.fr), an internet peer-to-peer travel business, now leader in France and Spain where is is still actively involved.
Nicolas joined Amadeus in 2007. Since joining the firm he has worked on a number of investments including Secerno (now Oracle), a database security company, Tobii, a leader in eye tracking systems, and Octotelematics, the leader in insurance telematics, as well as on a number of portfolio companies including Transmode, Intune networks, PacketFront and Veebeam. He is on the board of Octotematics holding company and an observer or deputy director for Secerno, Transmode, PacketFront and Intune Networks.
Prior to joining Amadeus, Nicolas was engineering manager at Gemfire Corporation in Silicon Valley, a leader in optical communication. He was part of the pioneering team of Gemfire that received backing from Floyd Kvamme (Emeritus Partner at Kleiner Perkins) in 2002, and was instrumental in leading new product developments, which were key to the company’s success. Nicolas started his career at DiCon Fiberoptics in Berkley, CA, as a design engineer.
Nicolas holds an MBA from INSEAD, an MSc in Optics from the Ecole Superieure d’Optique and an MSc in Applied Physics from Paris XI University.
