Nicholas is an international business executive, specializing in creative and brand strategy. He currently provides marketing, social media, change management, and executive leadership counsel to a diverse array of commercial and NPO ventures in Europe and the USA.
Until recently, Nicholas served as Chief Marketing Officer at the Technicolor/Thomson Group. He oversaw the multi-brand creative, strategic and tactical aspects of the Group’s technology market position in the U.S, Europe, and Asia. Previously, he was Vice President and Group Creative Director of Dream Theatre, a leading digital marketing and production studio. There, he oversaw some of the earliest promotional campaigns on the Web for clients including Disney, the Jim Henson Company and Sony.
Nicholas’s professional affiliations include serving as a founding Governor of the Producers Guild of America’s New Media Council. He is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and has served several times on the jury for the Primetime Emmy Awards. Additionally, he is a member of the advisory boards of the CMO Institute, the Charter High School for the Arts, National Film Festival for Talented Youth, American Lung Association, and the Business Marketing Association, as well as a founding member of the Digital Watermarking Alliance. In 2009, he was elected to serve as a member of the City of Burbank’s Sustainability Commission, driving policy on issues relating to the environment, human capital, transportation, energy, and more. He was subsequently appointed to lead the City’s related subcommittees on Mobility and Urban Design. In 2013, he was elected chair of the Commission.
