Nelson Yong has worked the last 5 years in business development, private equity, and marketing in Los Angeles and in the Pacific Northwest. He was most recently involved in BuddyTV in their sales, business development, and advertising operations, working with respected co-founders Andy Liu and David Niu. BuddyTV is one of the most popular entertainment-based community websites (with over $6.5M monthly unique visitors), aiming to bring entertainment and content closer to fans. He is also the Principal and Founder of GravityIdeaLabs, a Seattle-based marketing and image consultancy aimed at Generation-Y.
Nelson previously worked with hundreds of Pacific Northwest investors to fund early-stage startup companies and venture funds. As the regional Investor Director for Keiretsu Forum, the world’s largest private equity investment community, he led the business development practice for prospective investor/members and corporate sponsors, built an extensive network of accredited investors, startup companies, venture funds, universities, service providers and other professionals, and directed and recruited for the full-time internship program with a team of over seven undergraduate and MBA students.
Having recently moved from California, Nelson also has strong experience in marketing and business development for a reknown Los Angeles law firm, after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles. He currently resides in Seattle, Washington.
