Nelson Yong is the newest member of the BuddyTV business development and sales team in Seattle, WA. BuddyTV is one of the most popular entertainment-based community websites (with over $6.5M monthly unique visitors), aiming to bring entertainment and content closer to fans. He is also the Principal and Founder of GravityIdeaLabs, a Seattle-based marketing and image consultancy aimed at Generation-Y.

He has strong experience in marketing and business development, and most previously worked with hundreds of Pacific Northwest investors to fund early-stage startup companies and venture funds. As the regional Membership Director for Keiretsu Forum, the world’s largest private equity investment community, he accomplished the following:

 Supported the needs of current investor/members to facilitate funding in this ambiguous and high-risk class of alternative investments  Maintained investor records, distribution lists, and analysis of investment statistics and acted as main point of contact for the organization  Managed, orchestrated, and performed follow-up for monthly events including investment forum meetings where opportunities are screened, education academies, committee dinners and numerous social events  Directed and recruited for the full-time internship program with a team of over seven undergraduate and MBA students  Managed and created content for e-newsletter and website and led transition to a more updated web 2.0 look and feel  Led the business development practice for prospective investor/members and corporate sponsors  Built an extensive network of accredited investors, startup companies, venture funds, universities, service providers and other professionals

Having recently moved from Los Angeles, Nelson has strong experience in marketing and business development for a reknown entertainment law firm, after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles. He currently resides in Seattle, Washington.
