Nelson Nigel studied all aspects of construction management at Columbia University and Pace University, he received further training at Turner Construction and Bovis Lend Lease (in conjunction with Medgar Evers College). In addition, he received instruction in design and construction under master architect Mark Strauss of FXFOWLE, in document management under Dominique Paraison of McKissack & McKissack Architects, and in construction accounting at New York City Tech under Robert Brewer of Grassi CPA’s. He earned his bachelor of Arts from Queens College New York City.
By 2006, he had established himself as a real estate developer when he founded his company Nelson Nigel New York. Among NNNY’s projects were the development of an 8-unit building in the Bronx, NY. In 2005, Nigel opened Head Contracting LLC, where he was Vice President of Finance in addition to his other duties. Also in 2006 he started Nuts & Bolts New York LLC, an importer of industrial, high tension, specialty nuts and bolts.
In 2008, his performance there earned him the distinction of being chosen as the Small Business Administration’s “Young Entrepreneur of the Yearâ€. In May 2010, Nigel appeared in the Wall Street Journal; he has been featured as well on Fox News.
In 2009 Nelson Nigel has used his extensive knowledge of public administration and negotiating government contracts to establish HEAD EXPOSED. HEAD EXPOSED is a technology firm which produces information on government and corporation procurement content.
