Previously, Neal was the General Manager for Desktop Vitualization and Remote Desktops at Microsoft, a position he obtained through Microsoft’s acquisition of Calista Technologies. Microsoft is currently shipping the acquired technology as part of the Windows Server platform and RemoteFX.
Neal was founder and CEO at Calista Technologies, the leading startup in the new generation of Desktop Virtualization solutions. Calista did a single round of funding by Greylock and Lightspeed in 2006 and was acquired by Microsoft for a reported $100M+.
Neal was CEO of iCompression, a leading Audio/Video company funded by Benchmark Capital and Integral Capital and led the company through to being acquired by Globespan/Virata for ~$400M.
Prior positions included Sr. VP at S3 Inc (Graphics company) and Intel.
