Nahum Sharfman was an entrepreneur with several successful Internet-related ventures. He served as active chairman of the board at eSnips. He is best known for founding Shopping.com in 1998, which he brought to a successful IPO in 2004. Shopping.com was later acquired by eBay for $650 million. Prior to founding Shopping.com, Nahum co-founded Commtouch and brought it to an IPO in 2000.
Prior to starting his own ventures, Nahum spent 11 years with National Semiconductor in a variety of development and management roles. He holds a Ph.D. in High Energy Nuclear Physics from Carnegie Mellon University and M.S. and B.S. degrees in Physics from the Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology.
Sharfman died on April 29, 2009 in a plane crash.
