Mitchell is responsible for selling advertising/marketing solutions to advertisers on the East Coast and oversees the development and implementation of sales initiatives and campaigns for MySpace’s East Coast sales team. Mitchell worked for Yahoo! prior to joining MySpace as the Regional Vice President of Sales in Yahoo!’s New York Office where he managed a team of 18 salespeople focused the Travel, Entertainment, Consumer Electronics, Telco, Retail and Poltical categories. Prior to Yahoo!, Mitchell was the VP Sales Operations at The Excite Network (now a part of Interactive Corp) where he ran Sales Finance, Inventory/Pricing, Research, Ad Products and Account Management for their group of registration based portals and search properties.
Mitchell began his career in Advertising Sales in Print at Weider Publications, New York Magazine and Wired Magazine where he helped launch Hotwired, the first advertising supported Website on the Internet.
